This standard specifies the determination method of chromium content in zirconium and zirconium alloys, which is applicable to the analysis of sponge zirconium and its alloys. The determination range is 0.0020% to 0.20%. The chromium content is determined by the diphenylcarbazide Spectrophotometric method, spectra-trophotometry and Inductance Coupled Plasma Atomic Emission Spectroscopy (AES) method (ICP-OES), which is an arbitration method when the determination ranges overlap. This standard provides important technical support for the quality control of zirconium alloys.
